Quality + Performance
TS Surf Shop exists to empower surfers by offering superior equipment and surf gear. All products in this shop have been tested, approved, and curated by Terry 'Simba' Simms. Our pillar product, the SIMBA Sentinel 1 Surf Helmet, was designed and developed by Terry to help make surfing safer. Simms is dedicated to sharing his passion for surfing with his students and using the power of surfing to positively impact people's lives.
The SIMBA Sentinel 1 is a lightweight, low-profile helmet engineered specifically for the safety of surfers and water sports enthusiasts. The Sentinel 1’s technically advanced design provides high-level impact protection with optimum aquadynamic performance.
SIMBA’s Sentinel 1 provides full head coverage without compromising freedom of underwater movement. Weighing in at just 372 grams (.82 lbs), the Sentinel 1 is one of the lightest surf helmets in the market. Along with impact protection, the helmet also offers shelter from the damaging effects of long term exposure to sun, wind and water.
“I wore the helmet all day yesterday at the comp and it really gave me a lot of confidence. I definitely put it to the test. Big Aloha. Thanks to the team at SIMBA.”

"I just got a SIMBA surf helmet and it is amazing. It is very light and you barely even feel it when it is on. I am going to get all of my friends to get one. I think helmets are the safe and smart choice."
"After a recent injury to my eardrum, I decided to try a helmet. Now I literally do not surf without my SIMBA. Once you try one, you’ll never go back.”
“The SIMBA helmet is easy to use, comfortable, and not only protects my head and face but helps shield my ears from the wind and cold. It also adds a sense of emotional support, knowing your head has an extra level of protection."
“Wearing my SIMBA helmet in the water makes me feel safer, especially in crowded line-ups. It’s as essential to me as my wetsuit is in cold water.”
